Rosemary Jane Cronin is an artist, writer and lecturer. Engaging with subversive ideas about gender, sexuality and psychoanalysis, her research-based practice is realised through film, performance, paint, print and sculpture.
‘Invoking a surrealist and playful approach to the mysteries and contradictions of human behaviour, Cronin’s work reveals the ways in which the complexities of our social worlds bleed into our imaginative interior lives. Her work tenderly and humorously shows the ways in which we exist in worlds of fantasy and seclusion, as well as within the shared performance of social groups and domestic lives.’ (Dr. Christiana Spens, 2024).
