• Casilda Oppe is a Spanish artist living and working in London. Oppe's sculptures explore the interdependence of all bodies and accentuate the mutability inherent in vulnerability. Rendering their form to oscillate between infancy and maturity, she explores ideas of transformation, where repetition, fragmentation and self-reproduction become focal strategies to engage herself in gestures that destabilise subjectification and the ludic nature of the meaning given to the horse in art history. She constructs synchronicities and narratives evoking symptoms of decay, metaphors of desire, rebirth and threat scenarios that slowly reveal themselves in her

    installation as an endless anagram.

    Oppe graduated from Fine Art and History of Art at Goldsmiths University of London in 2024, and is currently part of the Conditions, Digital Art Program. Recently her work has been exhibited at Half Heard, Half Seen, Conditions, London (2025) and South Open 3, Ohsh Projects, London (2025). As well as has produceding a sculpture body piece for the performance of British singer Celeste in 2024.
